Where Daiku falls short
- Daiku is invite only for now. You join the list and wait for your invite.
- Daiku isn't open source, and you can't run it on your own computer.
- Daiku acts when your AI asks. It doesn't start work on its own.
- Daiku works on websites only. It can't open the files or apps on your computer.
- Some sites block browsers that AI uses. Then you may need to finish a step yourself.
- Your browser sleeps when no one uses it, so the first step after a break takes longer.
Pick Claude in Chrome if
- You're at your computer when you need help.
- You only use Claude.
- You want Claude in the tabs you already have open.
Pick Daiku if
- You want your AI to work from your phone, or while your laptop sleeps.
- You also use ChatGPT, Claude Code or another AI app.
- You want a separate browser, signed in only where you choose.
- You want your face or fingerprint on every payment and send, by default.
Can you use both?
Yes. Use Claude in Chrome at your desk, and Daiku when you're away from it. Daiku works in Claude on the web, on your computer and on your phone. 5
Questions
Is Claude in Chrome safe?
Anthropic's tests cut attack success to under 0.08%, and it says the risk is not zero. It advises a separate Chrome profile, and keeping it off bank, legal and health sites. 2
Does Claude in Chrome work on your phone?
Not yet. Anthropic says it doesn't run on phones, or in other browsers built on Chrome's code, yet. 1
Can Claude use Daiku from your phone?
Yes. Add Daiku to Claude once, as a connector. Anthropic says connectors like it work in every Claude app, phone included. 5
Can Daiku see the tabs on your computer?
No. Daiku has its own browser in the cloud. It can't see the Chrome on your computer.
